Overview of Role:
As Director, Data and AI Strategy at OneSix, you will be at the forefront of transforming how our clients harness the power of data. You will collaborate closely with our Sales and Delivery teams to ensure our customers achieve groundbreaking results with their data and AI solutions. With your specific expertise of enterprise scale data and AI solutions as well as your consulting acumen, you will lead our most important clients through the development of their business, data, and AI strategies. Your experience in assessing client maturity, prioritizing use cases, guiding technology decisions, building roadmaps, and building value cases will be instrumental in creating value for clients, and also in unlocking downstream work for OneSix. You will play a critical role in developing our strategy practice, leading key sales pursuits, and overseeing strategy delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategy engagements with key clients; serving as lead consultant and as primary lead on key deliverables including assessments, roadmaps, blueprints, use case inventories, talent and org recommendations, and technology selection processes
- Lead the standardization of strategy deliverables and create a repeatable set of offerings to helps clients plan for Data, ML, AI, and infrastructure initiatives
- Independently conduct SME interviews across a wide diversity of backgrounds and functions, quickly isolating core stakeholder, organizational and engagement dynamics that could affect the validity and/or feasibility of our recommendations
- Apply a product management and/or design thinking mindset to organizing client recommendations and roadmaps
- Collaborate seamlessly with Data, ML, and AI engineers and create alignment between roadmaps and implementation activities
- Build strong relationships with key clients ranging from C-suite leadership to project level data and technology staff.
- Strong skills in business quantitative analysis including how business data is operationally originated and curated, used to generate financial reporting, capable of telling ‘stories’ about how organizations function, applied to compelling business cases supporting corporate valuation
- Foster a culture of learning and development, encouraging team members to pursue certifications, training, and professional growth opportunities
- Improve and maintain the OneSix methodology and approach to service delivery.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years in technology services and/or management consulting in client-facing, consultative leadership roles
- Significant experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, ML, and/or AI
- Proven track record of leading strategy engagements and developing strategy offerings that are tied to downstream implementation work
- Experience with data management, data governance, machine learning models and the associated organizational change management
- Experience with modern cloud-based technology solutions including hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), data warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake), and associated tool sets such as Alation, Matillion, Fivetran, Coalesce, Sigma, and Atlan.
- Vertical expertise in one or more of financial services, manufacturing, life sciences, or health care.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working directly with customers in a pre-sales or consulting capacity.
