This role thus requires a deep expertise in applying data science and machine learning to real -world problems where data must be gathered, transformed, cleaned, and integrated into a larger architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain end-to-end ML systems, from prototyping to production using modern MLOps tools and practices, working alongside ML Scientists.
- Develop robust and reusable pipelines for model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring using tools such as MLflow, SageMaker, or Vertex AI.
- Build infrastructure for scalable model deployment, leveraging containerization (Docker), orchestration (Airflow, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate ML solutions into cloud-native data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, GCP).
- Implement and monitor model performance, data drift, and retraining workflows in production environments.
- Translate experimental ML solutions into robust, version-controlled, testable code that adheres to engineering best practices.
- Research and evaluate emerging tools in the MLOps space, promoting continuous improvement of deployment and operational workflows.
Job requirements
All applicants will be considered based on their experience and demonstrated skill/aptitude, not formal education. Candidates will be evaluated based on their experience in the following areas:
- Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for model training and deployment.
- Experience with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., MLflow, TFX, SageMaker, Vertex AI, Kubeflow).
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines for ML.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with production-level experience in building reusable ML/ETL libraries and APIs.
- Proficiency with SQL for working with structured data, ideally in a data warehouse context (Snowflake a plus).
- Familiarity with model versioning, A/B testing, and performance monitoring in production.
- Experience with Git and best practices in software development and collaboration.
